DESCRIPTION:
Keuffer & Esser, New York, brass surveyor's transit #3022 with level, wood tripod and case, early 20th century.
CONDITION:
this is a heavy precision instrument with old patina on brass. There is no obvious damage or missing parts, and the optics are clear. The old wooden case has extra pieces, the tripod is functional. The instrument crosspiece is stamped with the company name, serial number and late 1800's patent dates. Telescope tube is about 11" long, tripod is 57" high.
